Les Chevaliers de Saint Hubert

Joseph Walters

Joe studied music at King's College, Cambridge and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. During this time he spent a sabbatical year in Calcutta learning tabla with Abhijit Banerjee.

As a modern horn player Joe plays with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Northern Sinfonia and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and, and as a natural horn player with the English Concert, Irish Baroque Orchestra, OAE and Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique.

Joe was a member of Indie band Stereolab as multi-instrumentalist for five years and is now concentrating on his own folk-pop project 'Tea With Jeanie' alongside his wife, soprano Lucy Crowe.

More recently Joe made a documentary film ‘The Sound of Mumbai’ which appeared at the Toronto International FILM Festival 2010. Following sales to HBO and Channel 4 the film is now helping the children from the slum school choir featured in the film to secure a brighter future for themselves in Mumbai.
